We Introduced Miss Pennsylvania to Virginia Legislators

God’s people praying and fighting to defend their ground, knowing that GOD IS WITH US
Dear Friend,
As a friend and citizen co-patron of HB1473, the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, we owe you an update. We hoped and prayed for an immediate victory this year which would have sent this bill to Governor McAuliffe in spite of his promise to veto it. However, we are past the point where the procedure limiting how bills pass from House to Senate makes passage in 2017 possible. While we are continuing to pray and work to advance this effort, which we know is according to His purposes, we are now looking at an expanded timeline.
We want you to know that your prayers are being answered and seeds have been sown this Session. Over the next two weeks while legislators are gathered in Richmond, we will continue working to change hearts and minds.  We are very encouraged by the conversations that we’ve had even with legislators who do not agree with our position as we have witnessed little "light bulb” moments.
So please, don't be discouraged; instead, we ask that you double your efforts with us.  Protecting little boys and girls is so important and we are in this battle for as long as it takes.  Keep praying, informing and educating your friends and sphere of influence because that is how hearts and minds are changed. It is true what the writer of the book of Hebrews says, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” Hebrews 10:35 (NIV)

Yesterday, we shared this flyer with all 140 members of the legislature.
We will be in touch in the months ahead. In the meantime, please click here to thank all 37 delegates and 10 senators who were co-patrons of the bill, or use the list below to contact them individually.

Thank you for all you are doing.

...some Republicans are not cooperating

God’s people praying and fighting to defend their ground, knowing that GOD IS WITH US

Dear [fname],

It seems like just yesterday the undercover videos released by The Center for Medical Progress showed Planned Parenthood staff discussing how Planned Parenthood affiliates sell the body parts of aborted children and change abortion procedures to ensure the requested organs remain intact. The videos show the crass treatment of human life as resources to be exploited in the abortion industry.

McAuliffe, Herring, Northam at WDC Woman's march

This picture of Virginia’s Governor, Attorney General, and Lieutenant Governor wearing Planned Parenthood gear makes it clear this kind of disgusting abuse of little baby boys and girls doesn’t faze them a bit. Their loyalties clearly lie with one of their biggest campaign donors, the for-profit abortion industry.

Back in Richmond, thanks to your prayers and calls, HB 1473, The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, was referred to the House Courts of Justice Committee for deliberation. The bill has 37 patrons in the house and 8 patrons in the senate as well as the support of House leadership with both the Speaker and House Majority Leader as well as a candidate for governor and one for lieutenant governor included on the patron list.

As the battle to pass this law rages, some Republicans are not cooperating. The Governor has called it bad for business and said it will “….hit a wall” if it comes to him. AG Herring, in a Richmond Times Dispatch article, falsely labeled the bill unconstitutional. All this makes the outlook for passage grim, unless... you believe what the Lord says:

In the LORD's hand the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him. Proverbs 21:1

Will you pray that the Lord will turn the hearts of our leaders? And once you have asked the Lord to soften their hearts toward the defenseless babies, would you call them and send them an email message to let them know you prayed for them? It only takes a few minutes.

Here are the people we need you to contact:

Governor McAuliffe: (804) 786-2211

Delegate Dave Albo: (804) 698-1042

The 44th Annual March for Life happens in Washington DC this Friday, January 27th, and is expected to bring pro-life Americans by the hundreds of thousands from all across America. Friends, these compassionate people take days off from work, fly and drive in from many states, and converge in the middle of winter to demand justice and mercy.

All we ask from you is a few minutes of your time. Are you with us?

HB1473 is now waiting for a hearing in the House Courts of Justice Committee where national experts from Susan B. Anthony List, Virginia Society for Human Life (VSHL) and National Right to Life (NRTL) will be available to testify. HB 1473 is modeled after National Right to Life’s legislation passed in 16 other states. Already in 2017, two states have passed Pain Capable bills into law - Kentucky and Ohio.

PS Delegate LaRock is hoping to find bipartisan support of this commonsense life-saving measure and has been sharing information handouts with all his colleagues concerning disability-selection abortions which discriminate against unborn children based on their disabilities and suggests compassionate and life affirming alternatives to abortion in cases of fetal disabilities.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday - Let's Pray and Stand Our Ground

God’s people praying and fighting to defend their ground, knowing that GOD IS WITH US

January 11, 2017

Dear Friend,
My name is Dave LaRock. I am a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, and patron of the Virginia 20-Week Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in the 2017 Session which began today.

I'm sure you are aware, this Sunday is the day many churches around the nation set aside time to focus on the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. Knowing that God values life, and my personal love for children, makes me excited to see people taking a stand for those who cannot.

I realize it is no small thing to ask you to share a message with your congregation on the very sensitive issue of abortion in America, but if we do not remind each other to do as we are called as in Proverbs 24:11, to defend those who are being led to harm, it is easy to forget they need our help.

Please consider showing this video, asking members to pray for the success of this bill, which has already passed in 16 states and the U.S. House of Representatives. Passing in Virginia will spare hundreds of babies from a brutal death-by-dismemberment each year.

I think you'll find this video to be very moving and suitable for any age.
If you do decide to show the video and could repeat the website directions, "Go and sign up to help pass this into law." we would be very grateful.

Feel free to call if you have any questions: Delegate Dave LaRock, 540-751-8043 or Jackee Gonzalez, 804-909-5445.

Thanks for taking a moment to look at this message and the video. Please encourage your congregation and other pastor friends to join us and commit to stand our ground as Shammah did in 2 Samuel 23:11.

Delegate Dave LaRock

Breaking News: 20-Week "Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act" Filed!

God’s people praying and fighting to defend their ground, knowing that GOD IS WITH US

December 15, 2016

Dear [fname],

I want you to be the first to know we filed the 20-Week Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, HB 1473.

This is a very good bill that has passed in 15 other states and in the US House of Representatives. Just this past week, Gov. John Kasich signed it into law in Ohio.

The purpose of this bill is to ban cruel late term abortions.

When we are working to defend innocent little boys and girls, we ought to know we are doing what God calls us to do and have no fear.

We expect retired general Mattis will be our nation’s next Secretary of Defense.
General Mattis is something of a legendary figure in the US military. He is known for his bold and brave spirit.

Quoting General Mattis: "I don't lose any sleep at night over the potential for failure. I cannot even spell the word."

All we need to do to protect unborn baby boys and girls is to be bold enough to let Virginia legislators know that we want the cruel treatment of babies in Virginia to end.

Let’s put the fear of God in our elected leaders who are hiding from this issue, by calling and emailing them to let them know you want this bill to pass.

Please go to and sign up to be a Citizen Co-Patron of the 20-Week Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and stay informed about this bill as it makes its way through the process.

Thanks for reading this email. Please share it, sign up to be a citizen co-patron, and encourage your pastors and friends to join us and commit to speak up for those who have no voice.

Also, please join with us in prayer for success.

Delegate Dave LaRock

P.S. Feel free to call us if you have any questions:

Delegate Dave LaRock, Patron of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act

God’s people praying and fighting to defend their ground, knowing that GOD IS WITH US

November 21, 2016

Dear Pastor,
I’m Dave LaRock, a Christian father of 7 homeschooled children, serving the 33rd District in the Virginia House of Delegates.

I am contacting you because my friend, Hanna Alway, thought that you would be eager to stand with us. You may know Hanna from her ongoing effort as organizer for America Pray Now, which brings together people from across Virginia to pray for our nation and its leaders, or from her work as Virginia coordinator for the recent Franklin Graham event held in Richmond. We are launching an effort to protect the lives of a group of people who are too young and helpless to ask you for help themselves- the unborn. I ask for your help knowing your time is precious and your duties are many.

After decades of speculation on what it would take to motivate people to vote their faith, Americans prayed and took action at the ballot box.

If I had to sum up why we just witnessed the outcome of the presidential election that we did, it would be to say that God heard our prayers and granted Americans a reprieve.

But will we use this time well?

I know you will agree, prayer was and is the key to unlocking this victory and those which lie ahead. Thanks to God for answered prayer and thanks to the liberal progressives for driving people of faith to take a stand as Shammah did in 2 Samuel 23.

Hillary Clinton shocked many with her outspoken and radical position on abortion; so extreme, it included favoring partial birth abortion. Even more disturbing is that half of those who voted agreed with her.

In contrast, people of faith prayed and took action; we voted 86% for Donald Trump. This is a time to press on. You can be certain our adversary will not rest.
I make a simple and small request. I ask you to commit to prayer and action to protect little pre-born children.

We cannot wait and watch for the federal government to fix all that is broken; that just will not happen.

Pastor, I’m asking you to help me pass the 20-Week Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in Virginia. With just a little effort from many hands we will surely succeed.

First, I ask you to help us reach as many like-minded defenders of human life as we can. You can do this by sharing this email with your friends network and adding your word of endorsement to it.

Second, as the 2017 session draws near I’ll be sharing information on how to contact legislators to ask for their support.

Many have already signed up, but if you have not, please go and sign up to be a Citizen Co-Patron of this bill. Also, please invite your pastor friends to do the same and commit to speak up for those who have no voice.

Join us in prayer that the church in Virginia will rise up and shout to our lawmakers in a deafening call to reject the cruel treatment of these innocent little boys and girls.

Feel free to call me on my cell phone if you have any questions: Dave LaRock,540-751-8043 or Jackee Gonzalez804-909-5445.
